It’s finals time this week, but the blog rolls on! I was rather happy with how this lecture came out. In these slides and this audio, I talk about how to decide which statistical test you might run based on your data. This mostly deals with methods in which you are comparing some number of averages.
Then, we discuss a task many students are tackling this week: How to fill out the formula sheet your professor gives you for a PsychStats 2 final exam. How to remember which is the repeated measures t-test vs the independent groups ANOVA? My advice: Don’t memorize, learn to differentiate. Listen for more.
