One type of learning exists outside the structures of instincts, classical conditioning, and instrumental conditioning: Observational Learning. It can be framed as a type of vicarious conditioning, but is so interesting to consider the ways it differs from direct learning. Slides and audio below.

You may have heard of psychological science’s replication crisis, but have you heard yet of the credibility revolution? I first provide some advice here on ways of knowing, as well as dealing with some of the issues of the crisis/revolution. This is a lecture that I’ve used for Intro Psych, a course on the function and utility of a psych major, and research & statistics.
